Jamie Barrow Biography
Jamie Barrow, 31, has been charged with the murders of Fatoumatta Hydara, 28, and her daughters Fatimah Drammeh, three, and Naeemah Drammeh, one, Nottinghamshire Police said.
The sisters were pronounced dead at the hospital shortly after the fire broke out shortly after 3 a.m. m. Sunday.
Nottinghamshire Police said her 28-year-old mother had been placed on a life support machine, but she died on Tuesday morning.
Ms Hydara, 28, was on life support after the fire at Fairisle Close, Clifton, in the early hours of Sunday.
Custody
Officers said Mr Barrow, of Fairisle Close, would remain in custody overnight to appear in Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Friday.
Assistant Chief Constable Rob Griffin, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Our thoughts remain with the family at this incredibly painful time, as well as with the communities that have been affected by this most tragic incident.”
He added that large teams of detectives have been “working tirelessly” together with specialized search units and forensic experts to understand all the circumstances behind the arson.
Investigation
“Following those investigations, we have charged a suspect with three counts of murder. The family is aware of this development and I would like to sincerely thank them for their patience and understanding as we do everything we can to obtain justice for Fatoumatta, Fatimah and Naeemah,” he said.
Speaking on behalf of the family, Ms Hydara’s uncle, Dawda Dibba, told reporters on Thursday: “We lost a beautiful, very, very beautiful soul.
“Fatoumatta is an amazing person. He wouldn’t even hurt a fly.
“She wouldn’t hurt anyone in her life. It is very difficult.”
