Who was Tamer Shaarawy ?
Kaitlyn Reuter, 35, and Nathaniel Morton, 40, were charged with the Dec. 16 slaying of Tamer Shaarawy, 38, inside his Arden Heights home, authorities said.
Suspects
Shaarawy was shot in the shoulder when the suspects entered his home on Hinton Street, near Woodrow Road, around 1:30 a.m. m., police said.
The mask-wearing duo also snatched a chain from their victim’s neck, police said.
He was rushed to Staten Island University South Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Kaitlyn Reuter and Nathaniel Morton Arrested and Charged
Reuter and Morton were each charged with murder, two counts of robbery and four counts of criminal possession of a weapon, police said Thursday night.
Shaarawy was shot in the shoulder when the assailants entered his house.
Reuter has three prior arrests and Morton has four, according to police.
It was unclear Friday morning if Shaarawy knew the suspects or if he was the target.
Victim
In an unexpected twist, authorities have filed murder charges against a New Dorp Beach woman in the fatal shooting of a victim inside her Greenridge home last month, while her alleged male accomplice is charged with involuntary manslaughter.
Kaitlyn Reuter, 35, and Nathaniel Morton, 40, of West Brighton, killed Tamer Shaarawy around 1:35 a.m. m. on December 16 inside the victim’s residence on Hinton Avenue, they allege separate criminal complaints.
